Brandon House

Brandon House is a care home providing personal care and accommodation for up to 42 people. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement, having found a breach of legal regulation around safe care and treatment, along with concerns about risk management and medicines. Inspectors also identified continued weaknesses in governance, with quality assurance systems not effective enough to drive improvement.

People said they felt able to raise concerns and were treated with kindness by staff, who respected their privacy and dignity. However, many felt there were not enough staff, with frequent use of agency workers, and some were not properly involved in planning or reviewing their care. Feedback on medication support and how well staff understood individual needs was mixed.
