Brandon House

Brandon House provides accommodation and personal care for up to 42 older people, some of whom may be living with dementia. At inspection, 27 people were using the service. People felt safe and received medicines safely and on time, though medicine documentation required improvement. Incidents and accidents were recorded with appropriate action taken, but the service did not monitor themes and trends to identify patterns.

Staff were present in communal areas and responded to people's needs in a timely manner, with sufficient staffing levels to meet people's needs. Staff recruitment included appropriate safety checks, though recruitment documentation lacked clarity. During the inspection, some staff were not wearing masks correctly; the provider agreed to take immediate action to address this. The home did not have a registered manager in post.
