Could the NHS fund Bramblings Residential Home's fees?
NHS Continuing Healthcare could cover 100% of care costs with no means test.
Bramblings is a 42-bed care home accommodating residents across two floors with lift access, serving people with complex needs including Parkinson's disease, epilepsy and dementia. Most residents have significant mobility limitations. At inspection, 29 people were living at the home, and residents reported feeling safe and content. One resident said, "I am very well looked after. I choose to stay in my room." Relatives praised the care, with one commenting, "We are very happy with it. Kindness and care are most important to us and that is what they get."
Staff provided safe care and treatment with good knowledge of individual residents. Medicines were managed safely with lessons learned from any incidents. Staffing levels were sufficient to meet residents' needs, and relatives noted management had created "a secure, safe place for the people" while transforming the home's environment.
