Haslington Lodge Care Home

Haslington Lodge Care Home provides personal care to up to 46 people with varying needs, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 39 people were using the service. Residents and relatives told inspectors they felt safe, and staff demonstrated knowledge of how to keep people safe. Medicines were administered safely, and accidents and incidents were reported and investigated to enable learning. Staffing levels were sufficient to meet people's needs, and infection control measures were in place.

People received person-centred care from staff who had time to know them well. Staff supported residents to have maximum choice and control of their lives in the least restrictive way possible. The service provided activities throughout the day to prevent boredom, including trips out for those able to participate.
