Fairby Grange

Fairby Grange accommodates up to 27 older people, offering both permanent and respite care. At the time of inspection, 18 residents were living at the home. Inspectors identified concerns with medicines management, finding that medicines had not always been stored at the correct temperature to ensure safety. Additionally, medicine administration records for one person had not been consistently checked and signed off by two staff members as required to verify accuracy against prescriber guidance. The registered manager took immediate action to address these issues.

Risk assessments were not always in place to identify potential harms and provide staff with guidance on safe working practices with residents. This gap meant staff did not have detailed plans necessary to prevent harm and support people safely. The manager responded promptly to rectify these shortcomings.
