Bradbury House - Care Home with Nursing Physical Disabilities

Bradbury House, in County Durham, is a nursing home providing personal and nursing care for up to 25 people with acquired brain injuries and long-term neurological conditions. The CQC rated the service Good overall, with an Outstanding rating for how caring it is. Inspectors found a strong, values-led culture, with staff who knew people well and treated them with dignity, kindness and respect.

The CQC found care was safe, effective and well led, with good governance, safe medicines management and a clean, well-maintained environment. Staff worked closely with healthcare professionals, leading to improved outcomes for many people. Leaders were identifying where staffing levels needed strengthening and were working to increase staff and nursing numbers on shifts.
