Brabyns House

This residential care home provides personal and nursing care to 33 people aged 65 and over, with capacity for up to 39 residents across two floors in one adapted building. Inspectors found the home was very clean with appropriate staffing levels and readily available personal protective equipment. A safe visitor system was in place, and safe recruitment checks had been completed. Some low-level concerns with medicines and environmental safety were identified and rectified during and after the inspection.

Staff demonstrated knowledge about identifying people at risk and knew how to report concerns appropriately. The registered manager had strong links with external organisations including the local authority and health protection teams, and submitted statutory notifications as required. People, staff and families provided positive feedback about the management team.
