About Box Tree Cottage Residential Home
Box Tree Cottage Residential Home is a residential care home in Cambridgeshire. Details of the Care Quality Commission's most recent findings are set out below.
Box Tree Cottage provides accommodation and personal care for up to 14 people. During the inspection, the service demonstrated strong infection control practices, including COVID-19 testing for visitors, staff, and residents, with adequate PPE supplies and trained staff in proper usage. The home prioritised maintaining family connections through video calling and ensured residents participated in activities they enjoyed.
Staff showed flexibility by adjusting shifts and working extra hours to avoid relying on agency workers, maintaining continuity of care. While social distancing within the home was challenging due to its size, outdoor areas were utilised for staff breaks and meetings to support distancing where possible.
