Bowerfield House

Bowerfield House is a care home providing personal and nursing care to older people and people living with dementia. The CQC rated the home as Requires Improvement overall, finding continued shortfalls in governance and oversight, particularly around health and safety records and learning from incidents. Some improvements were still needed in managing creams and thickening powders, though infection control had improved.

A new manager was well regarded by staff and residents, and the staff team was stable. Inspectors found people generally felt safe and well cared for, though the environment and activities needed further development, and care was not always personalised to individual needs.
