Bispham Gardens

This care home with nursing provides personal and nursing care to up to 52 people, including adults over and under 65 years of age and those living with dementia. At inspection, 42 people were using the service. The management of risk was not always safe and some care records were not accurate and up to date. The provider's systems to assess, monitor and improve the service had not identified and addressed these shortfalls. However, accidents and incidents were routinely analysed to identify safety improvements, and systems were in place to protect people from abuse with improved staff training. The home was clean and well-maintained with good infection control practices.

The provider recruited staff safely and kept staffing levels under review. The registered manager engaged with people and their relatives, taking their views into account. The service worked with other agencies to maintain and enhance people's health and wellbeing.
