Birchmere House

Birchmere House provides residential and nursing care to older people, some of whom are living with dementia. The three-storey home has a maximum capacity of 76 people, and at the time of inspection there were 43 residents living there. Staff demonstrated good practice around infection control, with all staff complying with personal protective equipment guidance. The home had installed automatic doors in high-flow areas to reduce the need for residents and staff to touch door surfaces when moving through the building.
