Birchmere House

Birchmere House provides residential and nursing care to older people, including those living with dementia. The home occupies three floors and can accommodate up to 76 people, though 43 were residing there at the time of inspection. Staff consistently followed personal protective equipment guidance with no identified issues in its usage. Automatic doors were installed in high-flow areas to minimise contact points, and the three separate floors allow the service to reduce unnecessary movement between areas and serve as an effective control measure if an outbreak occurred.
