Bethany House Care Home

Bethany House is a nursing home providing personal and nursing care for up to 31 older people, including some living with dementia. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, finding three breaches of regulations relating to premises and equipment, staffing, and governance. Inspectors found parts of the building in disrepair, weak recruitment checks, gaps in staff training and supervision, and record-keeping that did not always reflect people's needs accurately.

On the positive side, the CQC found staff to be kind, caring and attentive, with people speaking highly of the food, activities and support received. People felt safe and able to raise concerns, though the provider has been asked to submit an action plan addressing the shortfalls identified.
