Belmont House Care Home

Belmont House Care Home provides personal care and support to older people, including those who cannot easily communicate their views. The CQC assessed the service after concerns were raised about staffing, risk management and training, and found breaches relating to safe care and governance. Risks were not always properly assessed, medicines were not always safely managed, and care plans and records were not always accurate.

The provider began addressing these issues after feedback.

Inspectors found people felt safe and well cared for, praising staff kindness and good food. Staffing levels, particularly at night, drew mixed feedback. Training, healthcare access, infection control and support for independence were all found to be good, though management oversight needs strengthening.
