Beamish Residential Care Home

Beamish Residential Care Home provides personal and nursing care to up to 21 older people, including those living with dementia-related conditions. At inspection, 19 people were using the service. Relatives praised the home highly, describing it as "definitely the best place" where people receive 24-hour support and are kept safe. Staff maintained open communication with residents' families and involved appropriate health professionals when people's needs changed, including referrals to specialist teams and GP contact as required.

Staff demonstrated strong safeguarding knowledge and followed effective processes for managing medicines, ensuring people took their medications correctly at the right times. Relatives commented positively on the caring nature of staff, noting they were "incredibly compassionate and absolutely brilliant with residents." People and their families had good relationships with staff and expressed trust in those who supported them.
