Barton Brook Care Home

Barton Brook provides nursing and residential dementia care for up to 120 people across four separate houses: Monton for EMI nursing, Moss for residential dementia, and Brindley and Irwell for nursing care. At inspection, 110 people were using the service.

Inspectors identified concerns about risk management, particularly relating to falls, skin integrity, and environmental safety. Staff did not always respond appropriately when physical and verbal altercations occurred between residents, and the service was recommended to provide further safeguarding training. Actions following incidents weren't consistently followed through, and concerns were raised about staffing levels, with inspectors observing that staff were not always available to respond promptly to residents' needs.
