Barons Park Care

Barons Park Care provides nursing and accommodation for up to 46 younger and older people with complex, challenging and advanced forms of dementia and significant mental health care needs. At inspection, 44 people were living at the service. Residents and relatives consistently praised the quality of care, with one person stating, "I am well looked after, and the staff are really nice," and a relative describing it as "worth its weight in gold." Staff provided personalised and dignified care within a warm and welcoming environment where people had formed positive relationships with staff.

The service maintains robust staffing levels with contingency plans in place for unplanned absences, and records demonstrated safe recruitment practices. Risks to people's health are identified, monitored and managed on an ongoing basis, with regular reviews to track any changes in their needs. The service is well-led with an open and transparent ethos, and receives strong support from the provider.
