Balmore Country House

Balmore Country House is a residential home providing personal and nursing care to up to 76 people, primarily older adults, some living with dementia. At inspection, 44 people were using the service.

Inspectors identified significant safety concerns. Medicines were not managed safely, with problems in how they were stored, used, and disposed of, placing people at considerable risk of harm. Several areas of the home were not clean, raising infection control risks. Parts of the premises were unsafe, with equipment left unsecured in bedrooms rather than stored properly, creating hazards for residents. While staffing levels were adequate, inspectors had concerns about some staff members and their approach to care.
