Avonmere Care Home

Avonmere Care Home provides residential care and personal care to up to 76 older people and people living with dementia. The purpose-built home features bedrooms with ensuite facilities spread across two floors, alongside various communal spaces including lounges, dining rooms, a library, cinema, games room, salon, and beauty room. A reception area and café restaurant facility are located at the home's entrance.

During inspection, improvements were identified in several areas. Medicines management and record keeping required strengthening, and staff training needed further development. Care planning processes required a more person-centred approach, and audit and governance processes needed to be more robust. Medicine administration practices also needed attention to ensure consistent adherence to safe procedures.
