Avonfield Neurological Centre

Pathfields Lodge provides residential care to up to 48 older people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 25 residents were using the service. Staff were trained and safely recruited to support people in their care.

While the service aimed to support residents with maximum choice and control, not everyone had a comprehensive and up to date capacity assessment in place. The home was working through a programme to ensure all people received current capacity assessments. Staff supported residents in a safe way and in their best interests, using the least restrictive approaches possible.
