Rushden Park

This nursing home accommodates up to 68 people requiring personal and nursing care, though 35 were in residence during inspection. While improvements have been made in identifying and managing risks, daily management checks have not consistently identified all areas for improvement or potential concerns. Care plans now better reflect people's likes, dislikes and preferences, though communication needs are not always documented, particularly for people with disabilities or sensory losses. Staff have received safeguarding training and understand how to identify and report abuse. Following increased staffing levels since the previous inspection, staff report having more time to support and engage with residents, and accident and incident records show a reduction. The service supports people to make choices about their care and supports them in ways that are least restrictive and in their best interests, with policies and systems in place to uphold this approach.
