Avocet Trust - 523-525 Marfleet Lane

Avocet Trust operates two separate bungalows providing personal care for up to seven people with learning disabilities, autism and/or physical health needs, with adapted facilities in each building. At inspection, six people were using the service. The home demonstrated strong infection control practices, including health screening and temperature checks for all visitors, whose details were recorded for track and trace purposes. Visitors were supervised to ensure compliance with guidelines and appropriate use of personal protective equipment.

Staff and residents maintained social distancing practices throughout the service. People were actively supported to stay connected with family and friends through phone and video calls, emails, and window visits. Staff had ready access to PPE and received training in proper application and removal. Regular testing of both residents and staff was completed in accordance with current guidance.
