Avocet House Care Home

Avocet House provides personal care for up to 66 people, with 48 residents at the time of inspection. The service supports people with physical disabilities and conditions such as dementia in a purpose-built facility across three floors. Each resident has their own bedroom with en-suite wet room, and the home offers shared facilities including a garden room, hair salon, tearoom and cinema. Communal dining rooms and lounge areas are available on each floor.

Residents reported feeling safe and enjoying life at the service. Staff understood safeguarding procedures and had guidance in place to reduce risks and protect people from abuse. The home maintained systems to keep people as safe as possible.
