Vauxhall Court Care Home

Vauxhall Court Care Home provides residential care for up to 33 older people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 28 people were using the service. The home had significant gaps in medicines management, with prescribed medicines not always in stock, meaning some people did not receive all their medicines as planned. Care plans did not consistently contain up-to-date information to guide staff in meeting people's needs, and risk assessments were not in place to protect both staff and residents. Not all staff had completed mandatory training, and some did not recognise the importance of appropriate training and skills for safe care delivery.

The management team conducted regular spot checks, including at night, to drive improvements in care quality. Procedures were in place to identify safeguarding concerns, and staff understood their responsibilities to keep people safe.
