Autumn Leaf House

Autumn Leaf House provides personal care and accommodation for up to eight younger people with learning disabilities and autism in one adapted building. At the time of inspection, eight people were living at the home. Staff demonstrated knowledge of how to manage risks associated with people's care and knew what to do in emergencies such as fires. The management of medicines remained safe, and people received personalised and responsive care with involvement in planning and reviewing their own care where possible.

The service's approach to care planning was outcome focused, with people achieving good outcomes. Care records contained detailed and up-to-date information to help staff provide care and support in line with residents' wishes. However, the provider was not using personal protective equipment effectively and safely in all instances.
