This care home provides accommodation for up to five people with learning disabilities and autism. At the time of inspection, all five places were occupied. The home had implemented several measures to support residents' wellbeing and safety. Visitors completed Covid-19 screening questionnaires and hand hygiene protocols upon arrival, with temperatures recorded to ensure safe visits. A visiting pod was being constructed in the rear garden to enable socially distanced visits in line with current guidance. Residents were supported to maintain contact with people important to them through telephone and video calls, which had a positive effect on their wellbeing. The provider used a system called 'Better Together' to share positive news stories across the organisation, and cleaning schedules had been increased with specialist deep cleaning equipment used to sanitise difficult-to-reach areas.
