The home accommodates up to three people with learning disabilities and autism, with three residents currently living there. Staff have implemented thoughtful safety measures, including Covid-19 health questionnaires and temperature checks for visitors to protect residents during the pandemic. Recognising that isolation from family members increased anxiety, staff demonstrated creative compassion in their care. For instance, they sprayed a resident's relative's perfume onto a scarf, allowing the familiar scent to provide comfort and emotional connection when in-person visits weren't possible. These examples reflect staff's commitment to understanding residents' individual needs and finding innovative ways to support their wellbeing.
