Astune Rise Nursing Home

Astune Rise is a purpose-built nursing home providing personal and nursing care to older people and those living with dementia, with capacity for 38 residents. During the inspection, 30 people were using the service. Residents reported feeling happy and safe, with staff providing kind and caring support that met their needs whilst treating them with dignity and respect. The home effectively managed risks to people's wellbeing through safely recruited staff with monitored staffing levels and comprehensive staff training, supervision and appraisal programmes.

Medicines were managed safely and people were safeguarded from abuse. The service supported residents to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff working in the least restrictive way possible and in residents' best interests, supported by appropriate policies and systems.
