Astor Lodge

Astor Lodge provides accommodation with personal and nursing care for younger adults, older people and those living with dementia, including rehabilitation for people discharged from hospital, for up to 29 people. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding kind, attentive staff, a varied and nutritious diet, and people feeling safe and well cared for. A previous breach around staff supervision had been resolved.

Inspectors found some areas needing improvement: staff were often stretched, meaning people did not always receive timely help or engagement with activities, and care records needed more person-centred detail. Governance was mostly effective, though more frequent audits were recommended to maintain standards consistently.
