Astor Court

Astor Court is a residential care home providing personal care to 37 older people, including those living with dementia, across two floors. The home can support up to 43 residents and does not provide nursing care. People told inspectors the home was good and spoke highly of the registered manager, who had worked to deliver improvements since the last inspection. The manager had strengthened quality monitoring checks, and systems were in place to monitor and maintain the quality and safety of the service.

Medicines were well managed, and there were enough staff to support residents with safe recruitment procedures in place. Care was provided in a person-centred way that met people's individual needs and preferences.
