Heatherfield Care Home

Heatherfield Care Home accommodates 74 people across three specialist units providing nursing care, support for younger people, and dementia care. At inspection, 67 residents were receiving support in the purpose-built facility. Most medicines were managed safely, though the handling of covert medicines and associated documentation did not fully align with provider policy.

People were protected from abuse risks, which were regularly assessed and reviewed as needs changed. However, some staff lacked full awareness of individual risk assessment details. The building was well maintained with appropriate health and safety assessments in place.

The home employed sufficient staff who received appropriate training and were recruited safely, working effectively with visiting professionals.
