Ashview House Residential Care Home

Ashview House provides personal care for up to 22 people in a two-storey adapted building, with 19 residents at the time of inspection, some living with dementia. The home maintains sufficient staffing to support people safely and effectively, with risks assessed and managed to prevent avoidable harm. Medicines are managed safely and staff follow infection prevention and control principles. The home has made notable improvements since the last inspection, with lessons learned when things went wrong.

Staff support people to have maximum choice and control over their lives in the least restrictive way possible. People's needs are assessed and planned for, with access to healthcare and timely consultation with health and social care professionals. Nutritional needs and dietary preferences are met. The registered manager has created a positive atmosphere where staff report being happy to work, and relatives gave positive feedback about the care their loved ones receive.
