Ashurst

Ashurst is a small care home accommodating up to 5 young people with complex mental health needs, with 3 residents at the time of inspection. Staff demonstrated a strong understanding of promoting independence, supporting people to achieve their goals through robust care plans. Residents felt supported by staff and the management team, and were able to personalise their rooms with personal items and budgets for decoration. The provider regularly reviewed and reflected on approaches to supporting people during times of anxiety and distress to drive continuous improvement. Staff supported residents with maximum choice and control, using the least restrictive practices in their best interests. When needed, residents received timely support from external healthcare professionals.
