This purpose-built, single-storey home provides personal care to up to 44 older people, some living with dementia. At inspection, 40 people were using the service. However, significant concerns were identified around medicines management. Some medications were out of stock and therefore could not be administered, while staff had not taken appropriate action when people refused their medicines. Recording practices for medicines also required improvement.

Additional safeguarding issues were noted. Risk assessments and care plans did not always effectively identify and address risks to people, particularly concerning nutrition, hydration, skin care and falls management. Inspectors observed instances where staff were not wearing personal protective equipment correctly, increasing infection risks. Care records were not always accurate or up to date, and governance systems had failed to identify and drive improvements in the quality of care provided.
