About Ashfield House

Ashfield House is a nursing home in Coventry, providing care for older people. Details of the Care Quality Commission's most recent findings are set out below.

Ashfield House accommodates up to 47 older people across two floors in a converted residential house, with 35 residents at the time of inspection. While people felt safe and spoke highly of the management team, risks associated with care, medicines, and fire safety were not always properly identified and managed, placing residents at risk of harm. The newly appointed management team had improved oversight since the last inspection, and staff were safely recruited with sufficient numbers to meet needs.

Staff demonstrated safe infection prevention practices. However, the provider's governance systems needed further strengthening to ensure shortfalls in quality and safety were consistently identified and addressed.
