St Clair Gardens

St Clair Gardens provides mental health recovery support with nursing care to up to 14 people. At inspection, 12 people were using the service. The home supports adults and offers both accommodation and nursing or personal care as a single package.

A previous concern about staffing, particularly regarding the enhanced support worker role and whether staff in this position could be left alone without a qualified nurse, was investigated during the inspection. Inspectors found that staff in this role were well trained and competent, receiving regular supervision and support. A qualified nurse was always available on call for advice, and staff understood the limitations of their role and the protocol in place.
