Ash Tree

Ash Tree is a residential care home providing support for up to six autistic people and people with a learning disability. The CQC found the service overall was rated Good, with kind, skilled staff who knew people well and supported their choices, dignity and independence. Medicines were managed safely and effective links with healthcare professionals were in place.

Some shortfalls were identified: the environment did not always meet everyone's needs or get maintained promptly, and auditing systems did not always lead to timely improvements. Care plans were personalised but needed further development, and relatives felt communication was good but wanted more involvement in care reviews, which the registered manager acted on after the visit.
