Gilburn

Gilburn provides personal care to up to seven people with mental health diagnoses, learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder. The home consists of communal spaces and individual apartments, each with their own bathroom, lounge, kitchen and bedroom. At inspection, six people were using the service, with five receiving personal care support.

Staff had not always received the training required to support people safely, and improvements were needed in record keeping relating to care plans and daily notes. The service was not always able to demonstrate how it met the principles of ensuring people with learning disabilities and autistic people receive respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence.
