About Ash House

Ash House is a residential care home in Coventry, providing support for people with a learning disability and/or autism. The findings below set out what the CQC observed on its most recent inspection.

Ash House provides residential care for up to six people with a learning disability and/or autism. The CQC found the home had improved since its last inspection and was no longer in breach of regulations around safe care and governance, though these changes had not yet become fully embedded. Frequent changes in management, three managers appointed and departed in succession, left leadership inconsistent and communication with relatives poor.

Inspectors found staff treated people with respect and supported choice, and people enjoyed positive relationships with regular staff and community activities. However, relatives felt insufficiently involved in reviewing risks and improvements, and health professionals noted teamwork between staff and management needed strengthening.
