Ambleside

Ambleside provides residential care and accommodation to up to 18 older people, some living with dementia. At inspection, 16 people were using the service, housed across three floors in one adapted building. Staff members were not always managing medicines safely, with unsafe administration practices and unclear guidance on the use of some medications noted during the visit. The home was working to improve fire safety arrangements following local authority recommendations, though personal emergency evacuation plans needed updating to reflect current support needs for residents in the event of a fire.
