Alpine Lodge

Alpine Lodge provides accommodation, personal and nursing care to older people, including those living with dementia. The service accommodates up to 67 people across 2 floors and 4 units, with 45 residents at the time of inspection. The purpose-built home features ensuite bedrooms, communal areas, and a secure garden accessible from the ground floor. Feedback from people, relatives and external stakeholders was positive overall. Care records need to be clearer and more consistent, and more robust checks are required for self-administered medicines to ensure people receive their prescribed treatment. The home appropriately records incidents and accidents to enable learning from these events.
