This care home provides residential and nursing care to up to 61 older people, including those living with dementia. At inspection there were 51 people using the service. Overall, people and their relatives were happy with the care they received, though the service did not operate in the safest possible way. Medicines were not consistently well-managed, leading to errors and some prescribed medicines being missed. Staff understood how to protect people from harm and adequate staffing was available to keep people safe, though observations confirmed scope for improvement in staffing arrangements. The provider adjusted staffing allocations on each floor immediately after inspection. The home was clean and tidy with well-embedded infection prevention control practices. The meal experience was mixed—people were offered balanced and nutritious options, but inaccurate records on modified diets exposed some people to unnecessary risk.
