Alma Lodge Care Home

Alma Lodge Care Home is a residential care home providing personal care for up to 14 people, primarily older adults with physical health needs, some of whom are living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 10 people were living at the home.

The home's governance and quality monitoring systems were ineffective in identifying significant shortfalls. Audits failed to catch unsafe medicine management practices, and environmental risk assessments did not identify hazards posed by windows and flammable items. Record-keeping was also incomplete and inaccurate, with these issues not being identified through the provider's own monitoring processes.
