About Albany House - Tisbury

Albany House in Tisbury is a residential care home providing support to older people, with 17 people living there at the time of assessment. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, finding continued breaches around risk management and governance. Hot surfaces and water, skin damage, malnutrition and falls were not always safely managed, staffing levels were not formally planned, and medicines management had gaps.

Quality auditing had not consistently identified these shortfalls.

Inspectors also found improvements, including better heating and hot water, redecoration, new flooring, and more consistent cleaning. Staff training and supervision had been strengthened, and people spoke positively about staff, feeling safe and confident that concerns would be addressed.
