About Adelphi Residential Care Home

Adelphi Residential Care Home is a residential care home in Lancashire, providing care without nursing for older people. The full CQC findings are set out below.

Adelphi Residential Care Home, in Lancashire, provides care without nursing for older people. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, citing two breaches of regulations relating to safe care and treatment and good governance. Inspectors found that facilities did not always meet people's needs, risks were not always managed, staff recruitment processes were not always safe, and medicines management needed improvement.

Elsewhere, the picture was more positive. People and their families spoke warmly of kind, attentive staff, good food and comfortable, personalised bedrooms. Care was described as caring, effective and responsive, though leaders' audits were not always effective and oversight of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards needed strengthening.
