Abney Low Nursing home

Abney Low Nursing Home provides nursing care for people with a range of needs, including support from external agencies where required. The home had previously been in special measures, but the CQC found significant improvements had been made, and the service is now rated Good overall and no longer in breach of any regulations.

Inspectors found risks were well managed, with effective governance and audits giving the management team an accurate picture of risk. Medicines were administered safely, staff were kind and well trained, and the home was clean and well maintained. People and relatives said they felt safe, listened to, and able to raise concerns confidently.
