About Abbey Village

Abbey Village is a residential care home in North Lincolnshire, providing accommodation and personal care for older people, including some living with dementia. The findings below set out what CQC inspectors found on their most recent visit.

Abbey Village provides accommodation and personal care for up to 34 older people, including some living with dementia. Following a previous rating of requires improvement and breaches of regulation, the CQC found the home had made significant progress and is now rated Good overall. Inspectors found staff were kind, well trained and protected people from abuse, and people spoke warmly of the care and activities on offer.

Some concerns remained around record keeping and medicines stock checks, which had not always been picked up through the home's own audits, though the CQC found no impact on people's care. The registered manager responded promptly to feedback and was committed to further improvement.
