Clear signage directed visitors to procedures and provided visual reminders for staff on hand washing and correct use of personal protective equipment. The service had implemented enhanced cleaning protocols, including increased attention to high-touch points. During visiting restrictions, residents were supported to maintain contact with families through video calls and telephone calls, while management shared regular updates with relatives via email and video meetings. A separate visitor entrance with screening had been installed to reduce cross-infection risks, and the provider's management team offered direct support to staff, including assisting with personal care. Staff received emotional wellbeing support through dedicated manager calls during this period.
