Wren Hall Nursing Home

Wren Hall Nursing Home provides care for up to 54 people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 50 residents were living there. The home maintained exceptionally high standards of cleanliness throughout, with domestic staff conducting regular cleaning and additional disinfection of high-touch points such as door handles and handrails. A comprehensive infection prevention and control policy was in place, supported by monthly audits that identified issues and prompted appropriate action plans to mitigate risks.

During the inspection, the service demonstrated good practice in supporting residents' wellbeing and independence. Residents were encouraged to maintain social engagement and activities, while personalised risk assessments ensured their safety. The home had implemented systems for visitors that included appropriate signage, guidance on PPE use, testing and social distancing. Staff were observed wearing PPE in line with current guidance, and the provider had enabled residents to maintain contact with relatives through technology and window visits when necessary.
