Woodfields Residential Home

Woodfields Residential Home is a residential care home providing personal care and support to older people. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, finding two breaches of legal regulations. Care plans and risk assessments were not always up to date, medicines management was inconsistent, some people were being restricted without proper legal authority, and oversight of quality and safety was ineffective.

Inspectors found positives too: staff felt supported, safeguarding procedures were followed, and there were enough suitably recruited staff. People living there felt safe and were happy with staff and their medicines, though some areas of the environment needed improvement and involvement in their own care could be better.
