Willowcroft

Willowcroft, situated in Spondon, Derby, provides personal care and accommodation for up to 60 older people, including those living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 59 people were using the service. During the COVID-19 outbreak, the home implemented measures to maintain residents' contact with relatives through technology and a dedicated visiting pod with protective screening accessed via patio doors, so visitors did not need to walk through the home. Clear signage guided visitors on PPE, testing, and social distancing requirements.

The home maintained high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, with staff carrying out regular documented cleaning routines and additional disinfection of high-touch points such as door handles and handrails. The provider had established safe admission processes for new residents and completed risk assessments to mitigate the impact of isolation on residents' wellbeing.
